HER WORK

Blessing’s signature art pieces can be found around the world, from Tucson, Ariz., to Chengdu, China.

Specializing in custom, large installations for public and private collections, each piece is original and relates to the local community. Her palette consists of metal, acrylic, and colored light in the form of programmable kinetic lighting.

HER PROCESS

For nearly two decades, Blessing has collaborated with city and developmental agencies, corporate art consultants, and private collectors to build large-scale illuminated sculptures that fit their vision, budget, and timeline.

Blessing’s approach to her art consists of two facets – a commitment to the local community for every piece and a unique business model that brings together the right partners for each work.

Accolades

Blessing’s work has been featured in regional and national publications such as Bloomberg, Hoodline, See Great Art, Sculpture, Hospitality Design, and The New York Times.

The artist has also received multiple awards and honors for her work including the Mayor’s Urban Design Award from the City of Calgary, Alberta, the Public Art Network Year in Review Award for Ballroom Luminoso and the CODA Merit Award in Healthcare for Camaraderie.

“Public art can create memorable images which will visually communicate your Community’s persona to the outside world, enhance civic pride, and influence the area’s economic development efforts. It can relate to the past, explore the future, honor an ideal and express your values to others. Public art should lift the spirit and transform the mundane and purely functional world into an arena in which the heart and soul can survive. This piece did that for me! Well done.”
