Ballroom Luminoso uses imagery adapted from the Mexican card game “La Lotteria” to give narrative context to this San Antonio-based sculpture.

The artwork is suspended within a freeway underpass and consists of six illuminated chandeliers made from recycled bicycle parts. With Joe O’Connell.

Received the Public Art Network Year in Review Award, 2014, from Americans for the Arts. Received the Transformative Design Award, 2013, a SXSW Eco ‘Place By Design’ Award.

Commissioned by the City of San Antonio.
