This series draws inspiration from the surrounding environment and community activities, offering an abstraction of pools and water windows that shape the Merriam Community Center.

The sculptures incorporated a high level of community engagement, incorporating language collected from local people. This public space offers a perfect contextual setting to explore how places like this community center can foster a sense of belonging.

Commissioned by the City of Merriam.

A modern art installation by renowned sculpture artist Blessing Hancock features two interlocking ring structures illuminated in blue and yellow lights.
