Philosopher’s Stone

A nighttime scene features an intricate metal sculpture by Blessing Hancock, casting elaborate shadows on the pavement, illuminated by lights. In the background, several people are walking near buildings adorned with lights and colorful signs. Tall, lit buildings are partially visible.

The three-lobed organic form represents growth and change. The surface of the artwork displays a multilingual poem by the poet Wordsworth.

On Display

A night scene displays three brightly lit, differently shaped sculptures by artist Blessing Hancock. Each sculpture features a person posing inside. Left: a green shape resembling an avocado. Center: a blue circular shape. Right: an orange star-like shape.

On Display is a series of glowing enclosures that explore the notion of window-shopping displays.

Encompass

A person wearing a black jacket walks through a unique red archway sculpture made of circular patterns by Blessing Hancock, located on a paved path lined with green trees and red-roofed buildings. The sky is clear with scattered clouds.

This artwork references Morgan Hill’s unique geology within the Santa Clara Valley as well as the community’s interest in outdoor recreational activities.
