Wandering Stars is an iconic public sculpture for the Tucson Convention Center streetcar stop.

Cocoon

Cocoon by Blessing Hancock sculpture

The sculpture is located along a bicycle path and offers an experience of metamorphosis as visitors move through the entire length of the sculpture, entering one end and emerging from the opposite.

Brilliance

A teardrop-shaped sculpture by Blessing Hancock, illuminated in blue light, is adorned with multiple languages carved into its surface. The light casts the characters' shadows onto the ground, creating intricate patterns. A lit water fountain is visible in the background, enhancing the night scene.

Each of the six sculptures incorporates a unique multi-lingual narrative collected from the local community, representing six different languages and cultures.

Chinook Arc

An innovative, large, translucent Blessing Hancock sculpture with an organic, twisting form is situated outdoors, illuminated from within with soft, warm lights. Two people are standing beneath the structure, conversing, with an overcast sky in the background.

Touch-sensitive lighting invites physical and social interaction with this large sculpture in Calgary that reflects the city’s unique weather phenomenon.

Texas Rising

Texas Rising is a three-dimensional exploration of a five-pointed Texas lone star.

Bloom

A bright, modern indoor space with a wall decorated by large, vibrant flower sculptures in purple, blue, yellow, and pink. Sunlight streams through skylights while Blessing Hancock's artistry shines through. Outside, a parking area is partially visible through tall windows.

Bloom is an interactive, kinetic sculpture installed in the lobby of Alexian Brothers Women & Children’s Hospital. Visitors are able to spin the flower-like forms using a touchpad.

Philosopher’s Stone

A nighttime scene features an intricate metal sculpture by Blessing Hancock, casting elaborate shadows on the pavement, illuminated by lights. In the background, several people are walking near buildings adorned with lights and colorful signs. Tall, lit buildings are partially visible.

The three-lobed organic form represents growth and change. The surface of the artwork displays a multilingual poem by the poet Wordsworth.

On Display

On Display is a series of glowing enclosures that explore the notion of window-shopping displays.

Encompass
