Insignia

These three illuminated sculptures are a celebratory landmark and welcoming neighborhood symbol. As abstract forms of the Beaverton Police Department badge, the artworks explore BPD’s motto: Courage, Compassion, and Integrity. The local community contributed language during several Beaverton Night Markets that are used in the pieces.

After the artwork was commissioned, the public voted to name the location ‘Unity Square’.
