Narrativa

Narrativa is an illuminated overhead canopy made from corten steel installed at the Lomaland Recreation Center in El Paso, TX.

The design is inspired by the natural environment of El Paso, the history of the area, and themes of recreation, healthy living, close family, and neighborhood fun.

The water jet cut text and drawings on the surface of the artwork were collected from local elementary school students. The canopy is uplit with inground color-changing LED lights.
