Papel Picado

Decorative art elements are integrated throughout the station as custom screens, railings, and lighting features. The installation includes six platform screens, thirty rail panels, and four illuminated star elements inspired by the Mexican folk art tradition of papel picado. Celebrating the historic architecture of Grant Park, Central Park, and the Warehouse District, the artwork brings cultural heritage and a sense of place into the transit experience.
